Review:

This book picks up right where Unknown leaves you with just as much action and suspense as it's prior novel. I never thought that I could love a sequel as much (or more) than first in the series, but this series really broke the mold for me. It seems as if the story is only getting better and yet there's still another book out there waiting for us!

The bond forming between Kyla and Jethro is so sweet, and I have to admit I'm totally Team Jethro here. Jethro is such a loving character, sacrificing his feelings to try to make Kyla's transition to Queen, as well has her marriage to Athra, easier for her. In this installment, the sparks fly between Jethro and Kyla, and I can't even begin to say how pleased I am with this!

The two new elemental children found in this book brought even more interesting quirks to the story. I loved the Icy and Flaming turmoil that these courageous children worked through. The challenges faced in book one were only a taste of the challenges that they come across in the second book - especially the volcano!

Athra grew as a character in this installment, but I have to admit that overall, I lost a lot of faith in his character. The events that occurred (although magically caused) were just insane, and I really feel that he should have known better.

The best part of this book? A fantastically created character that I couldn't stand finally got his/her come uppins! *sigh!* I can't wait for the final installment in this series!
