Review:
I've always had a thing for paranormal hunter TV shows, so when I read the synopsis for this book, I was extremely excited. To me, this book read just like one of the paranormal hunter TV shows that I've seen. While reading this book, I was working a graveyard shift and there were a few times where I was looking over my shoulder or staring at shadows to find out what they came from. Don't get me wrong, the book isn't a horror story, nor is it very scary, but ghosts are just spooky to me, so it was a fun and spooky evening all around.
I feel that the characters in this book were very well developed and easy to relate to. I loved Kacie as a character and felt that the trouble that she had suffered through with her mother's abandonment and later admission of powers were just a travesty. No child should have to suffer due to their own parents denial from fear of themselves.
My only real complaint was how easy Kacie and Logan's relationship just glided into a romance. At the start of the book, Logan was just a crush that she had never even really spoken to, but very quickly into the story, they were already girlfriend/boyfriend. I found this very unrealistic, even if they share similar powers. Honestly, I feel that Daniel was a much better choice for her. <3 br="" daniel="">
Overall I think this is a great start to a new series that I could definitely get into. I look forward to the next book!
